Mythical Marketplace enters Beta!

Hey players, we’ve got some major changes incoming to our Mythical Marketplace! We’re opening up the doors to millions of new sellers around the world, and we cannot wait for you to jump in.

Starting September 30th, the Mythical Marketplace officially enters Beta! We’ll support selling on the Mythical Marketplace from more countries, payouts into crypto wallets, browsing without being logged in, and much more. With our newest update, more countries than ever will be able to participate in the Marketplace!

One of the biggest benefits of this update is being able to deposit funds you’ve earned in USD to your bank account in your local currency and/or your cryptocurrency wallets in crypto payouts*! Along with the new capabilities, we’ll be integrating the Mythical Wallet with Uphold.

We’ll also be introducing crypto payments in October!

How to withdraw money from the new Mythical Wallet?

In order to withdraw funds from your Mythical Wallet you will have to create an Uphold account and link it to your Mythical Marketplace account from the settings page.

If you do not wish to create an Uphold account after the update on September 30th, you can continue to use your proceeds from sales to buy more items in the Mythical Marketplace.

Before you can withdraw funds from your Uphold account, you must verify your identity. For more information, click here.

All sales that take place after the update on September 30th, including ASKs created prior to the 30th, will be available to withdraw ONLY through Uphold. If you do not wish to create an Uphold account, we recommend canceling any active ASKs prior to this date.

What happens to my Hyperwallet funds?

All earnings from sales of ASKs prior to the update on September 30th, 2021 will continue to appear in your current Hyperwallet-powered Mythical Wallet. Your Mythical Wallet is viewable in the settings page.

Any balance you have accumulated before the update on September 30th, 2021 will continue to be available for withdrawal from your Hyperwallet. You can still withdraw these funds from your Hyperwallet even after the update on September 30th, 2021. However, your deposits will no longer go to Hyperwallet, so you will be unable to use the balance available in the old Mythical Wallet to purchase items in the Marketplace. It is highly recommended that you withdraw any funds currently in your Wallet to your bank account, Paypal, or Venmo at your earliest convenience!

Global Support

As we prepare for global support of the Mythical Marketplace and integrate new systems, we’re always keeping up-to-date with the latest regulations and limitations around crypto and NFTs. As a result, please read the below carefully for more information on country specific changes and timing.

Update:

We’ve received several questions about our Marketplace beta announcement and the countries that will or will not be supported at this time. We apologize for any confusion and want to clarify that we are still in an early testing phase of the Marketplace and while there are currently some limitations in place through our new wallet partner Uphold, this is not representative of what Marketplace access will look like at launch. The below chart shows payment options and access for all countries during this phase of beta. We will continue to update this as new support solutions are put in place.

Update on China: Due to the regulation that was passed on Friday September 24th in China, effectively banning crypto related transactions, our service providers were forced to block the creation of new accounts in China.

Mythical always strives to respect the law, protect its users and select partners that share this vision.

As such, we will not be able to support selling in the Mythical Marketplace for users residing in China for now. Our partners are continuing to assess the situation and we are looking forward to expanding to all countries not covered by our beta release as soon as our partners allow it.

Regarding Canada, Germany, and Hawaii

Canada, which previously supported withdrawing to a bank account, will only be able to withdraw to a crypto wallet as of 9/30. Any remaining Hyperwallet funds from transactions prior to 9/30 will still be allowed to be withdrawn to bank accounts, regardless of which country you're in.

Due to current crypto regulations in Germany and Hawaii we are on hold for supporting these regions, but we are working on re-adding them once approved. We expect fiat payouts to be supported for Germany in the coming months, and crypto to follow. However, we are looking into other short-term support options. This regulation will prevent users in Germany from connecting to Uphold, but they are still allowed access to the Mythical Marketplace, buy from the Mythical Marketplace, buy in the store, and play the game. They can still withdraw any sales made before the update.

Any sales from Germany can be used to spend in the marketplace but can’t be transferred out to crypto or fiat until we get resolved.

We want to extend an apology to the German users and promise we are looking at options to support selling again as soon as possible.

The countries listed at this link will be supported with bank account (fiat) funding and withdraws.
*The countries listed at this link will not be supported at this time for selling in the Mythical Marketplace.
